Geoffrey Rush is to star in a musical.The 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' actor will appear alongside Australian rocker Missy Higgins and TV presenter Ernie Dingo in 'Bran Nue Dae', which is described as a coming-of-age movie and is the first Aboriginal musical to be made into a big screen film.The 57-year-old claims landing a role has been a long-held ambition.He said: "I saw 'Bran Nue Dae' onstage in Melbourne in the early '90s and yearned to be part of such theatrical vitality. The show was extremely funny, provocative and celebratory."Geoffrey described the film as a "kick-a**e" road movie which centres on family, forgiveness and aboriginal reconciliation.The movie will be shot in Perth and Broome, Australia and will be directed by Rachel Perkins.
