Gerard Depardieu Hits Out At Binoche

Gerard Depardieu has launched an astonishing attack on Oscar winner Juliette Binoche.

Depardieu compared Binoche to the likes of Isabella Adjani and Fanny Ardant insisting that she was 'nothing'

Speaking to The Guardian the actor said: "Please can you explain to me what the secret of this actress is meant to be? I would really like to know why she has been so esteemed for so many years.

"She has nothing. Absolutely nothing!"

"She is nothing. Compared with her, Isabelle Adjani is great even if she's totally nuts. Or Fanny Ardant - she is magnificent, extremely impressive. But Binoche? What has she ever had going for her?"

Binoche picked up a best Supporting Actress for her role in The English Patient as well as winning Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year for her new movie Certified Copy.

Depardieu has plenty of projects in the pipeline and has already completed work on Glenn the Flying Robot, Small World and A Butterfly Kiss.
