Get Him To The Greek Tops UK Box Office

Russell Brand has scored a UK number one with his new movie Get Him To The Greek which has toppled Killers to top the box office.

Brand reprises the role of rocker Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall in a new comedy which sees Nicholas Stoller return to the director's chair.

The movie, which also stars Jonah Hill and P Diddy, took over £1.5 million this weekend to comfortably see off the competition, Get Him To The Greek was also the only movie to break the £1 million barrier this weekend.

After just a week at the top Killers, which stars Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher fell a single place to this week's number one. Sex and the City 2 also fell a single place to this week's number three.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time held fast at four while StreetDance 3D fell two places from three to this week's number five.

Death At A Funeral stayed at six while The Collector was the only other new entry inside the top ten in at number seven.

This week's biggest fallers were Letter To Juliet, which fell from five to eight and Wild Target which also dropped three places from seven to ten.
