BROKEBACK, GOOD NIGHT, PRODUCERS AND MATCH POINT TOP GLOBE NOMINATIONS BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, THE PRODUCERS, MATCH POINT and GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK will lead the way at next year's (06) Golden Globe Awards. ANG LEE's gay cowboy romance Brokeback Mountain tops the nominations with seven nods, including Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Actor - Drama for HEATH LEDGER, Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture for MICHELLE WILLIAMS and Best Director. GEORGE CLOONEY's black and white drama Good Night, And Good Luck is up for four trophies, including Best Motion Picture - Drama and Best Actor - Drama for DAVID STRATHAIRN, as well as Best Director and Best Screenplay for Clooney, who has also been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in SYRIANA. MEL BROOKS' musical The Producers is also up for four awards - Best Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy, Best Actor - Musical Or Comedy for NATHAN LANE, Best Supporting Actor for WILL FERRELL and Best Original Song; while WOODY ALLEN's London-set drama Match Point is up for Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Supporting Actress for SCARLETT JOHANSSON, Best Director and Best Screenplay. Meanwhile, MRS HENDERSON PRESENTS, THE CONSTANT GARDENER and WALK THE LINE are nominated in three categories. DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES are leading the TV categories with five nods, with the show's four stars MARCIA CROSS, EVA LONGORIA, TERI HATCHER and FELICITY HUFFMAN fighting for Best Actress In A TV Series - Comedy, as well as the ABC show fighting CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, ENTOURAGE, EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS MY NAME IS EARL and WEEDS for Best TV Series - Comedy. Meanwhile, LOST, TV movie WARM SPRINGS, White House drama COMMANDER IN CHIEF and Weeds are nominated in three categories.Welsh actor SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS has been named as the recipient of the 2006 Cecil B Demille Award For Lifetime Achievement at the ceremony, which takes place on 16 January (06) in Los Angeles.
