Guy Ritchie has confirmed Professor Moriarty will appear in 'Sherlock' Holmes - but refused to admit he would be played by Brad Pitt.
It was reported earlier this week that the 'Curious Case of Benjamin Button' actor is set to play the villain in the director's forthcoming film about the British detective, and while Guy admitted there would be an appearance from the character, he wouldn't be drawn on who is playing the role.
He told MTV Movies: "Some kind of appearance is probably the best way to describe it.
Following the story that Brad would be appearing in the film, makers Warner Bros issued a statement saying the actor would not be joining the cast
"All will be revealed. I'm afraid I have to be slightly ambiguous, but you'll understand when you se the movie."
When asked if the role would be credited, Guy replied: "I believe not".
