Hairspray director Adam Shankman is a mean practical joker, according to the movie's star Nikki Blonsky.Blonsky, who plays tubby Tracy Turnblad in the musical, admits Shankman would often play tricks on the movie's cast - and tried to convince her she was part of a practical joke for Mtv show Punk'd.

And the 18-year-old actress says Shankman would always tease her because she was the youngest, reports the New York Post.
