Hayden Panettiere Had 'Great Experience' On Scream 4

Hayden Panettiere has revealed that she has always been a Scream fan and has called working on the fourth movie a 'great experience'.

The actress takes on the role of Kirby Reed in the Wes Craven directed movie alongside Never Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette - who reprise the role of Sydney, Gail and Dewey.

Speaking to Teen Hollywood the actress said: "I was seven when it came out and so I waited until a little bit later in life to experience Scream.

"It was something that I was a big fan of. It's got that Halloween aspect with the masked person, but at the same time it's got that very realistic aspect; the fear of somebody breaking into your house. That's a terrifying thing."

"It was a great experience. It's always a little bit nerve-wracking when you come into a family; something that was already established. They'd been through so much together.

"You really have to tread lightly on that and have respect for that, and find your way into that group and where you fit in."

It's the first big screen outing for the actress since she starred in I Love You, Beth Cooper back in 2009, she did lend her voice to animation movie Alpha and Omega.

Scream 4 is released 15th April.
