Helen Mirren has dismissed reports she is set to reprise her role as British monarch Queen Elizabeth II in a new film about Indira Gandhi.
Mirren, who won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Elizabeth II in 2006 movie The Queen, was lined up to tackle the role again in Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story, a two-part biopic about the former Indian prime minister, who was assassinated in 1984.
But the actress insists she has no interest in taking part in a new biopic.
Mirren tells WENN, "No, no. I'm not interested in biopics or anything of the sort."
Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story will be directed by Krishna Shah and is scheduled for release later this year (10).
Mirren has not been seen on the big screen since The Last Station, for which she was once again nominated for an Oscar, but has plenty of projects in the pipeline for the rest of the year.
Her next movie Love Ranch sees her team up with Joe Pesci before moving onto The Debt and The Tempest. She will also join the all star cast of Bruce Willis,Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich for Red.
