Hellboy tops U.S. box office

Hellboy II: The Golden Army has roared straight to the top of the U.S. box office chart, with takings of $35.9 million (£17.95 million) in its opening weekend.The sequel knocked Hancock from the top spot; with the Will Smith superhero movie earning $33 million (£16.5 million).Brendan Fraser's spectacular Journey to the Centre of the Earth was a surprise feature in the top five, earning third place with receipts of $20.6 million (£10.3 million) in its opening weekend.Animated hit Wall-E finished fourth and new mum Angelina Jolie slipped to fifth with thriller Wanted.Eddie Murphy's new movie Meet Dave managed only seventh place, taking just $5.3 million (£2.65 million).
