High School Musical Lead Razzies

Despite it's teen appeal and major box office success High School Musical 3: Senior Year is leading the nominations for this year's Golden Raspberry Awards.Now somewhat of a tradition the Razzies have come to honour all that was bad about cinema over the last twelve months and are handed out a night before the prestigious Oscars.

Halle Berry famously attended the ceremony to pick up her Worst Actress award for her role in Catwoman and last year Lindsay Lohan's I Know Who Killed Me won eight awards, setting a new record.

High School Musical, which got it's first cinema release this autumn, is shortlisted for Worst Film, Worst Sequel, Worst Actor (Zac Efron), Worst Actress (Vanessa Hudgens) and Worst Screen Couple (every couple in the movie).

However Paris Hilton's universally trashed The Hottie and the Nottie is also a multiple nominee with nominations for Worst Film, Worst Actress (Hilton), Worst Screen Couple and Worst Director (Tom Putnam).

In the Worst Actor category with Efron is Tom Cruise (Valkyrie), Keanu Reeves (The Day The Earth Stood Still) and Mark Wahlberg (The Happening). While Hudgens and Hilton are joined by Jessica Alba (The Love Guru), Jennifer Connelly (The Day The Earth Stood Still) and Eva Longoria-Parker (Over Her Dead Body) amongst others.

The number of nominees will be cut to make up the final categories before the ceremony on 21st February.
