Hilary Swank is to portray a single mother in a new legal drama.The 'Million Dollar Baby' actress is to star as the title character in 'Betty Anne Waters', which is based on a true story.Betty is a single mother who despite never finishing high school, puts herself through law school while raising her children and working as a waitress with the intention of proving that her brother Kenneth had not committed a crime he has been jailed for. Tony Goldwyn is to direct the movie, which reportedly was originally due to feature Naomi Watts in the title role.The film is set to start filming in Michigan in January.No other casting details have yet been announced.
