Hugh Jackman says attending a college acting class made him feel like "a dunce".
The 'Australia' actor admits one of the reasons he decided to pursue a career in acing was because he found it so challenging.
He said: "I enrolled in a college drama class because everyone knew the teacher, and it was easy. When I started attending I felt like the dunce of the class, vulnerable and overwhelmed."
I thought that would be the ideal job
Hugh eventually began to enjoy the sessions and so "decided to give acting a crack".
Before enrolling in the class, the 40-year-old star had planned to become an airline cook.
He explained: "I used to spend my nights looking at atlases. I decided I wanted to be a chef on a plane. Because I'd been on a plane and there was food on board, I presumed there was a chef. I thought that would be the ideal job."
