Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman was greeted by thousands of his adoring fans in London's Leicester Square as he graced the red carpet for the premiere of his new movie Real Steel.

The movie sees Jackman team up with Night at the Museum filmmaker Shawn Levy in this part sports movie, part sci-fi, part father and son story.

The movie may not have hit the big screen yet by Jackman has revealed that he has already signed up to do a sequel.

Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "I'm signed up for it, I have to be, if there is one but that's called counting your chickens before they hatch. I've seen it with audiences and people love it but we'll see how it goes."

Jackman stars as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring.

Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next.

When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender.

As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Real Steel is released 14th October.
