Hugh Jackman's new movie Real Steel briefly caused chaos in rural Michigan on Sunday night (19Sep10) when a camera helicopter hooked a power line.
No one was injured but the incident closed a main road and cut off a power supply to Sheridan Township.
Local Sheriff Kelly J. Hanson tells the Huron Daily Tribune the helicopter, which was equipped with a front-mounted camera, experienced "directional control issues" after snagging the power line.
Real Steel sees Hugh Jackman, who hasn't been seen on the big screen since X-Men Origins: Wolverine last year, team up with filmmaker Shawn Levy.
The film is a future-set story where robot boxing is a popular sport and centered on a struggling promoter (Jackman) who thinks he's found a champion in a discarded robot.
During his hopeful rise to the top, he also discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father.
Jackman may not have been on the big screen but he already has three movies in post production; Butter, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and an untitled comedy.
He is also all set to reprise the role of Logan in a second Wolverine movie.
Real Steel is released next year.
