Jack Black is to star in a sequel to 'School of Rock'.Both the 'Kung Fu Panda' star and director Richard Linklater have confirmed they will be attached to 'School Of Rock 2: America Rocks', though it has not been announced whether any of the children from the original 2004 movie will return.The sequel follows Jack's character, aspiring rockstar and secret supply teacher Dewey Finn, as he takes a class of school children on a summer trip across America to explore the history of rock and roll music, exploring its roots in country, blues and rap.Scott Rudin will again produce, while Mike White - who wrote the original screenplay and has previously teamed up with Jack on ''Nacho Libre' and ''Orange County' - is penning the script.The original film - which saw Jack's character form a rock band from a class of 11-year-olds - was a huge box office hit, costing just $30 million to make and earning $131 million worldwide.
