'A Nightmare On Elm Street' star Jackie Earle Haley developed murderous tendencies on the set of the movie.
The 'Watchmen' actor - who takes over the role of the knife-fingered killer from Robert Englund for the remake of Wes Craven's 1984 horror classic - was ready to "kill" after spending hours in make-up everyday to prepare for shooting.
'Watchmen' star Haley joked: "People ask me how I get into that character. Well, after three-and-a-half hours of make-up, you pretty much feel like killing somebody. You have no problem coming out as Freddy after that!"

In the films, Freddy was left horrifically scarred after being burnt to death by the residents of Elm Street in revenge for his child murders, but he returns with the ability to attack his victims in their dreams.
The new movie is being helmed by Brad Fuller and is being produced by 'Transformers' director Michael Bay.
However, horror legend Wes Craven - who directed the original - will not watch Bay's reimagining.
He said: "That'd be a tough one to re-see. If you move on from the films you've made - which I have always tried to do - then it's like, that's in the past. You know, it's had his life.
"And if they make a better film, maybe it will eclipse the original. I don't know. If they don't, then the original will look even better.''
