Jake Gyllenhaal is set to make his U.S. stage debut in an upcoming production of Nicky Payne's comedic drama If There I Haven't Found It Yet.
The Brokeback Mountain star will take a bow in the Off Broadway show atNew York's Laura Pels Theater on 20 September (12).
The play follows the story of a bullied, overweight teenager named Annaand the struggles her mother and father face trying to hold together their family.
Gyllenhaal will play Anna's estranged uncle.
The 31 year old first took to the stage for This is Our Youth opposite Canadian actor Hayden Christensen and True Blood's Anna Paquin in London back in 2002.
