Jason Statham has revealed that he will always be grateful to Guy Ritchie.
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels was the first movie from for the Brit actor, which was quickly followed up by another Ritchie project Snatch.
Since then Statham has become one of the biggest action movie actors and he is back on the big screen this week with his new movie Safe.
Speaking to the BBC the actor said: "I've been extremely lucky. I've been in the right place at the right time.
"However, I will always be grateful to Guy Ritchie, because I was selling perfume and jewellery on the street, and he offered me that part and changed my life."
Safe is the first movie of 2012 for the actor but he will be back later this summer with Expendables 2, which sees him reprise the role of Lee Christmas
