Jason Statham needs cash to make a film about greed. The 'Death Race' actor has revealed plans for the project, provisionally titled 'The Grabbers', which he claims will be similar to 1948 film 'The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre'.He said: "We've got a movie we're trying to do, written by David and Janet Peoples, in the vein of an old film, 'The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.'"It's not a remake or anything. But it's a little bit like that - about relationships and how greed contaminates the relationships these three people have. The working title is 'The Grabbers'."But the star - who shot to fame in Guy Ritchie's 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' in 1998 - said he has yet to secure the money to begin production. He added to Empire online: "Hopefully we'll get it made. We're trying to put the finance together now and hopefully do it before the end of the year."
