Jennifer Garner loves romantic comedies because she get's to "smell good".

The actress says she was happy to star in 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' because she loves working in the genre so much, and particularly liked the twist of the new movie.

She explained: "There's nothing more fun than doing a romantic comedy. You're all dressed up, you smell good, you get to kiss the boy. But this movie had a little more going on than normal.

"And even if it didn't have the really funny twists of ghosts and just Michael Douglas and Emma Stone and all of these incredible peripheral characters. And the dialogue is just a little funnier and smarter and more witty than you would typically see."

Jennifer - who has two daughters with husband Ben Affleck - also admitted to having a crush on co-star Matthew McConaughey.

She added: "Anybody that works with Matthew and doesn't have chemistry needs to get their pulse checked, honestly. He's a chemistry machine."
