Jerry Bruckheimer has given fans an update on The Lone Ranger saying that the 125 day shoot has almost come to an end.

Bruckheimer will serve as producer on the movie while Gore Verbinski is in the director's chair for the project.

The producer went on to pay homage to the cast and crew that worked on the movie and admits that he is excited for fans to see the completed film.

Posting on his official blog he wrote: "Almost done with filming of The Lone Ranger. 125 days of shooting seemed to fly by.

"We dealt with winds up to 70 mph, rain, snow, and even wildfires but nothing has stopped us from filming this incredible movie.

"The cast has been absolutely amazing and we could not have asked for a better crew. Everyone has been extremely dedicated in making this film a major success.

"We have a few more filming days back in California and then post-production goes into high gear. Before we know it, it will be July 3rd, 2013 and we can't wait to share this incredible film with everyone."

Armie Hammer will take on the title role in the movie while Johnny Depp is set to play Tonto - Helena Bonham Carter and Tom Wilkinson are also set to star.

The Lone Ranger will be released 5th July in the UK.
