Johnny Depp To Return For More Pirates?

Johnny Depp could do more Pirates movies if On Stranger Tides is a success this summer according to Jerry Bruckheimer.

Depp is all set to reprise the role of Captain Jack Sparrow for a fourth movie and Bruckheimer has already got a fifth screenplay in the works

Speaking to MSN Movies the producer said: "As long as the audience embraces this one, we'll certainly try to make another one.

"It's really up to Johnny. He loves the character.

Despite not winning the critics over in 2007 At World's End was a massive box office success taking in excess of $960 million worldwide.

The movie brought to an end the trilogy but Bruckheimer reveals that any future Pirates projects would all be stand alone movies.

"The audience told us (at test screenings of On Stranger Tides) what they loved about it is that it was fresh, it was new, it was a whole new story.

"So that will carry over into the next one, too, to give it something fresh and different."

Geoffrey Rush is also returning for the new film as Barbosa while Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane are new faces on the cast list.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is released 18th May.
