Joseph Gordon Levitt may find himself appearing in the third Batman movie.
The actor joked with director Christopher Nolan on the set of Inception that he wanted to read for the third movie in the superhero franchise.
Well it appears that a joke has turned into a serious possibility as Levitt could be in line to take on the role of The Riddler.
But Levitt isn't the first, and indeed possibly won't be the last, to be linked to this role as both Eddie Murphy and Johnny Depp have been whispered about in the past two years.
Nolan will be back in the director's chair for the movie while David Goyer is currently working on the script.
The film is expected to reach cinemas in 2012, four years after the huge success of The Dark Knight.
But Levitt is back on cinema screens this summer as he teams up with Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy and Marion Cotillard for Inception, which looks like it could bee the strangest movie that we see this year.
