Judd Apatow Cuts Kid-Friendly Version of Funny People...

Director Judd Apatow has made a special edit of his new film Funny People for his two actress daughters - so they can see a kid-friendly version of their second movie.

Young Maude, 11, and Iris, six, appear alongside their mother Leslie Mann in the Adam Sandler comedy, but Apatow's picture has been given an R rating by U.S. movie censors because it contains some adult material.

As a result, the girls, who also appeared in Apatow's 2007 hit Knocked Up, have been banned from watching their father's movies - so the filmmaker has decided to put together a few scenes his children can watch.

Apatow says, "They are not allowed to see the movie. I'm editing a version just for them with everything that they're allowed to see... It's eight minutes (long) - Adam's not in it!"
