Jude Law is set to star in 'Sherlock Holmes'.The 'Alfie' actor is reportedly being lined up to appear opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Guy Ritchie's new movie based on the fictional detective.Jude is to play Dr. Watson, the sidekick of the eponymous detective - who will be portrayed by the 'Iron Man' star - in the movie, which takes inspiration from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic novels and Lionel Wigram's comic book series. 'RocknRolla' star Mark Strong is believed to be up for the role of the antagonist Blackwood.Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey and Dan Lin are producing the movie, which starts shooting in London next month.'Sherlock Holmes' is scheduled for release in 2010.Jude recently completed work on 'The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.'
