Hollywood star Kathleen Turner was recently forced to hitchhike in her search for a traditional British breakfast.The Romancing The Stone actress, 53, was staying in a remote cottage in Wales with her 20-year-old daughter Rachel when she found she had no food in her fridge.So the pair decided to catch a ride with a passer-by to the nearest village, where they enjoyed a meal of bacon and eggs.

And Turner was so thankful to the kind-hearted stranger, she repaid him with two front row tickets to the Hay-on-Wye literary festival in Wales, where she was due to appear.She recalls, "It was raining, I put my hand out and thank goodness this gentleman called Martin took me in his car."
