Kevin Mckidd has revealed that one day he would love to move into directing.
McKidd has lent his voice to new Disney/Pixar animation movie Brave, which is out this week, but is a regular in Grey's Anatomy.
The actor has already directed a handful of episodes of the hit medical drama and with a couple of possible projects up his sleeve we may se him juggling both roles.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "Maybe one day. I still feel like I'm learning the craft of filmmaking from that side of the camera.
"There are a couple of projects I am kind of developing right now but I'd like to come back here and do a couple of independent films and see if I can do that."
"But I want to get a few more episodes under my belt first, just so I can really feel like I have the chops to do it."
Brave is the first original story from PIxar for the last couple of years with sequel such as Cars 2 and Toy Story 3 being released in 2010 and 2011.
Brave is out now.
