Killers has toppled Sex and the City 2 for the top of the UK box office after three weeks in the number one spot.

Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl join forces for the action comedy which took just over £1 million at the box office this weekend.

The movie was the only film to break through the £1 million barrier.

The movie follows Jen who, while on holiday meets her ideal man, leading to a swift marriage.

Back at home, however, their idyllic life is upset when they discover their neighbours could be assassins who have been contracted to kill the couple.

Sex and the City 2 dropped just a single place to number two after three weeks at the top while StreetDance 3D held onto the number three spot.

There was also no move at four as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time didn't budge an inch while there was a three place drop for romance movie Letters To Juliet.

The only other new entry inside the top ten came in the form of Wild Target, which was in at number seven.

The movie brings together a great British cast of Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt and Rupert Grint.

Dwayne Johnson's Tooth Fairy slipped just a single place from seven to eight while there was also just a one place drop for Robin Hood, which finished the week at number nine.

This week's biggest faller was the disappointing Brooklyn's Finest as it rounded of the top ten having dropped five places.
