Logan Lerman's grandfather inspired him to chase a leading role in the new the Three Musketeers movie adaptation - because the Alexandre Dumas novel was one of only two books he escaped Germany with during World War Two.
He only took two books with him... and one ofthem was The Three Musketeers.
The young star, who plays D'Artagnan in the 3D film, admits his granddad was very proud when he heard the teenager had landed the coveted role.
Lerman reveals, "My grandfather had to leave his home in Berlin as a child during World War Two...
"He only took two books with him... and one ofthem was The Three Musketeers.
"That was what made me decide to do this movie. "Every week, I go to my grandfather's house for breakfast, and he's so excited about my being a musketeer".
Lerman also shot the film in Germany.
