Lone Scherfig has praised her leading lady Anne Hathaway.
Scherfig is back in the director's chair this week with new movie One Day, which sees Hathaway in the leading role alongside Jim Sturgess.
And it seems that the Oscar nominated actress has left quite an impression on the director.
Speaking to Digital Spy the filmmaker said: "She is just really talented and a very creative mind.
"She's the kind of person who says she can't do things. 'Oh no, I don't play the guitar' and then she picks up a guitar and really plays.
"Or 'I don't speak French' and you're sitting there when we're shooting in Paris and the waiter comes over and she speaks French.
"She just has access to a lot of skills and a lot of emotions."
One Day, which is an adaptation of the David Nicholls novel. is the first movie for Scherfig in two years, finding success back in 2009 with An Education.
One Day is out now.
