Maggie Gyllenhaal To Star With Husband

Maggie Gyllenhaal is set to star in a movie about Bill Monroe.

The actress will star alongside husband Peter Sarsgaard in a biopic about the star, which will be directed by Finn Taylor.

Speaking to Screen Crave the actress said: Bill Monroe, who invented bluegrass music had a kind of Sid and Nancy-style affair with this woman Bessie Lee Maudin throughout his life and T-Bone Burnett's going to do the music and Callie Khouri - who wrote 'Thelma & Louise' - wrote the script so we're going to do that together."

It's been a successful year for the actress as she picked up a best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in crazy heart alongside Jeff Bridges.

She is back on the big screen this week in America as nanny McPhee and the Big bang is released, the film has already been released in the UK where is topped the box office.

Her next movie sees her team up with Hugh Dancy and Rupert Everett in Hysteria.
