Mark Wahlberg's Cookie Binge

Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he became ‘obsessed’ with chocolate chip cookies when he finished training for The Fighter.

The Fighter is Wahlberg’s latest movie which sees him take on the role of boxer Mickey Ward, and he underwent a heavy training schedule to get into shape.

But once it was over the actor let his standards slip a little. Speaking to People the actor said:  "I just became obsessed with chocolate chip cookies and stuff that I never really had any interest in eating [before]."

The actor also revealed that his wife was disappointed when he stopped his training.
"She said, 'You might as well take care of yourself.' But I needed a break from it. Certainly four and a half years was very draining.

“I needed that time off, and now I need to get back in there."

The movie sees Wahlberg team up with Christian Bale and Amy Adams while David O’Russell is in the director’s chair.

The movie has been nominated for Best Picture at the Golden Globes while Wahlberg, Bale, Adams and Melissa Leo all picked up nods for their performances.

The Fighter is released 4th February.
