Martin Benson

Martin Benson has died at the age of 91.
 
Benson passed away in his sleep at his home in Buckinghamshire, England on Sunday (28Feb10).
 
The British star served in World War II, before moving into movies in the late 1940s with a part in The Blind Goddess.

He went on to secure numerous minor roles in films, eventually starring as Kralahome in 1956 movie musical The King and I.
 
He played opposite Elizabeth Taylor in 1963's Cleopatra before tackling a role in The Saint with future James Bond star Roger Moore.
 
Benson became part of the Bond franchise himself in 1964 starring alongside Sean Connery in Goldfinger.
 
His later work included roles in The Omen and Angela's Ashes. Benson was last seen on screen in British TV show Casualty in 2005.
 
He is survived by his wife, Joy, three daughters, a son and three stepchildren.
