Matt Damon has vowed not to make a bad Bourne movie.
The actor - who has played Jason Bourne in three films in the action franchise - is preparing to meet with director Paul Greengrass to discuss making a fourth instalment but insists he would rather not go ahead if it would struggle to live up to the quality of the previous movies.
He said: "We both love the character but if we do another we want to get it right. The only thing worse than not making another would be to make a bad one, so we have to proceed carefully."
He added: Directing is something I really want to do but the parts I'm getting now and the directors and producers I'm working with are so great that I'm not in any hurry
As well as another movie in the franchise, Matt also hopes to move behind the camera eventually.
He added: "Directing is something I really want to do but the parts I'm getting now and the directors and producers I'm working with are so great that I'm not in any hurry."
