Megamind remains at the top of the U.S. box office as it took $30.1 million this weekend to hold off competition from Unstoppable.

The movie spends it's second week in the top spot as Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Tina Fey all join forces to lend their voices to the movie.

Denzel Washington returned to the big screen this week with his new action movie Unstoppable, which sees him reunite with filmmaker Tony Scott.

The movie took $23.5 million this weekend but had to settle for second spot. Comedy Due Date fell just a single place this week from two to number three.

Skyline was a second new entry inside the top five this week as the alien invasion movie from Colin and Greg Strause opened at number four.

Morning Glory was the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week at number five as Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton star in the movie about a struggling morning news show.

For Coloured Girls, the new film from Tyler Perry, and Red both fell three places this week to six and seven while there was just a two place drop for Paranormal Activity 2 down at eight.
