Megan Fox Not Confirmed For Buffy

Megan Fox has not been confirmed for Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie.

The actress has been linked to the role every since the announcement that the hit television series, which did start as a movie, was heading back to the big screen.

However the movie's producer Roy Lee has dismissed any casting rumours telling Perez Hilton: "The rumours of Megan Fox being involved with Buffy are just rumours.

"As with any film project with a female lead under the age of 30, Megan is the actress that most studios want so it is no surprise her name is mentioned.

"While I think she would be great for our project, we are still in the early stages of developing the script."

Despite creating the Buffy character back in the 1992 movie starring Kristy Swanson Joss Whedon has declined to participate in the new movie.

He commented to Entertainment Weekly saying: "I believe [the producers] did ultimately reach out to my agent after the news broke. I think that's something better left untouched by me. So, I wish them luck."
