Mila Kunis has admitted that she was uncomfortable with the sex scene with Natalie Portman in their new movie Black Swan.

Kunis stars alongside Portman and Vincent Cassel in Darren Aronofsky's first movie since The Wrestler but reveals that her friendship with her co-star made the scene more difficult.

In an interview with Virgin Media she said:  "It is slightly uncomfortable to have to be intimate with a good friend.

"The scene's important for the character, but we went in going, 'This is going to be a little different,' yeah."

"She's the strangest character I've ever played. We shot everything both ways. Sometimes I would be the sweet one and Natalie would be the mean one, and then we'd flip it. At the end of the day it was all up to Darren."

Black Swan has earnt rave reviews from the critics on the festival circuit and is an early Oscar favourite amongst many.

We haven't seen Kunis on the big screen since Date Night, also starring in The Book of Eli, earlier in the year, but she will also be back in the new year with a comedy.

The actress will star alongside Justin Timberlake in Friends with Benefits, which also stars Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson.

Black Swan is released 11th February.
