Natalie Portman Calls Oscar Win 'Insane'

Natalie Portman has described her Oscar win as 'insane'.

Portman was the hot favourite to walk away with Best Actress for her role in Darren Aronofsky's The Black Swan before the awards got underway.

She has already picked up the Golden Globe, Bafta and the Screen Actors Guild Awards in recent weeks.

As she collected her award she said: "Thank you so much to the Academy, this is insane.

"I truly, sincerely wish that the prize tonight was to get to work with my fellow nominees - I'm so in awe of you.

"I'm so grateful to get to do the job I do, I love it so much."

This is only the second nomination for Portman, who was recognised with a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category for Closer back in 2005.
