Presidents Attend Stone's New York Screening

The presidents of Venezuela and Bolivia were the very special guests of honour at the New York screening of Oliver Stone's new movie, SOUTH OF THE BORDER, on Wednesday night (23Sep09).Venezuela leader Hugo Chavez and President Evo Morales joined the moviemaker, Susan Sarandon, Courtney Love and Shia LaBeouf at the Lincoln Center for the U.S. premiere of Stone's documentary.Both Chavez and Morales appear in the film.Stone says, "It's a highlight to be in my hometown to greet Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales, both of whom have been, in my opinion, unfairly demonised by the U.S. media.
