Paul Potts: The movie

The film based on opera singer Paul Potts' life is set to go into production. The movie, tentatively titled 'One Chance', will chronicle the rags to riches story of the former mobile phone salesman who launched his opera career after appearing on British TV talent show 'Britain's Got Talent'. The film will be a comedy-drama, and is being produced by reality TV mogul Simon Cowell - his first foray into film. Former salesman Paul was down on his luck when auditioned for the programme. Despite his awkward appearance and being visibly nervous, Potts bowled over the judges - Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden - and the show's audience from the first time he opened his mouth to sing. After being crowned the winner of the series, Potts' first album - also called 'One Chance' - propelled him into the mainstream, selling over two million copies. He has also since embarked on a world tour. The script for 'One Chance' the film will be written by Justin Zackham.Cowell, is also reportedly working on another script about a musical reality show called 'Star Struck.'
