Method actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was so determined to stay in character between scenes on new movie Doubt, co-star Meryl Streep was convinced she had upset him.Streep was thrilled when she was cast alongside the Oscar winner in the movie adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's play, set in a Catholic school.The actress plays a nun who clashes with Seymour Hoffman's priest over her suspicion he has abused a boy in their care.And the actor insisted on maintaining their tense relationship off camera.Streep says, "I really wanted to fool around and have some fun, because it's a grim story.
