Ray Winstone has joined the cast of '13'.

The 'Nil By Mouth' star and 'Goodfellas' actor Ray Liotta have signed up to appear alongside Jason Statham, Sam Riley, Mickey Rourke and rapper 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - in the English language remake of French thriller '13 Tzamei'.

The movie, which is to be directed by Gela Babluani, who wrote and directed the original, will see Riley's character accidentally uncover a Russian Roulette-style game.

Winstone is to portray a former mental institution patient who is freed to take part in the game, alongside Statham's rich character who delights in exploiting the poor and needy. Rourke will play a convict sold into the competition, with 50 Cent's character an employee assigned to escort him.

Liota plays a cop on the trail of uncovering the sinister dealings of the participants.

Production on '13' is scheduled to start in New York later this month.
