Reese Witherspoon Struggled To Find Scripts

Reese Witherspoon has revealed that she took time away from her acting career because she hadn’t read anything that she liked.

We haven’t seen the Oscar winning actress on the big screen since Four Christmases back in 2008, although she did lend her voice to Monsters vs. Aliens in 2009.

But she is set to make her return as she stars alongside Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson in How Do You Know.

Speaking to EW the actress said: "I just didn't read anything I liked.

"There are a lot of really, really, really big movies about robots and things - and there's not a part for a 34-year-old woman in a robot movie."

She has already completed work on Water For Elephants, which sees her work alongside Robert Pattinson.

She is currently filming This Means War and has been linked to Brave and Pharm Girl.

How Do You Know is released 28th January.
