Ridley Scott Looking At Portman For Alien Movie

Ridley Scott is rumoured to want Natalie Portman for the lead role in the new Alien movie.

The actress is believed to be in talks for the film, The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo star Noomi Rapace is also believed to be in the running for the role according to Vulture.

The script is being penned by Damon Lindelof, the co-creator of hit television show Lost, yet no details about the plot have yet been revealed.

The movie will be set thirty five years before the original movie.

It's been a very busy year for Portman, who is back on the big screen in the new year with Black Swan, which sees her team up with filmmaker Darren Aronofsky.

It's the first film for Aronofsky since the success of The Wrestler and Black Swan is already picking up some Oscar hype and is being tipped for nominations.

Portman has already completed work on Your Highness, No Strings and big budget blockbuster Thor, which will be released next year.
