Filmmaker Guy Ritchie has given Robert Downey JR. a boost on the set of Sherlock Holmes by reportedly forcing the actor to wear high heels.
The director has asked Downey Jr., who plays the iconic detective, to wear a pair of four-inch platforms in his shoes - in a bid to raise him up to co-star Jude Law's level, reports British newspaper The Sun.
Ritchie has ruled that the actor must wear the lifts in every scene he shares with Law, who plays Holmes' sidekick Dr Watson - so that the sleuths are the same height.
A source tells the tabloid, "Rob is stumbling around a lot and cursing Guy over the silly shoes."
2008 was a return to fame for both actor and filmmaker as Downey Jr found major box office success in the role of Tony Stark in Iron Man.
The film grossed over $100 million in it's opening weekend in America and went on to become one of the biggest movies of the year, a sequel is already in the pipeline.
2008 was also a great year for Ritchie as he returned to the big screen with RocknRolla.
