Silver Linings Playboo
The Screen Actors Guild nominations have been revealed and Silver Linings Playbook and Lincoln lead the way with four nominations each.
Silver Linings Playbook has been a critical success since it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year and both Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence have been nominated for their central performances.
But Cooper has some strong competition in the actor category as Daniel Day Lewis, John Hawkes, Hugh Jackman and Denzel Washington are all also nominated.
Lawrence is a strong early contender for the Best Actress Oscar but she will have to fight off the challenge from Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Helen Mirren and Naomi Watts if she wants to take home the gong.
The supporting categories are equally as competitive as Alan Arkin, Javier Bardem, Robert De Niro, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Tommy Lee Jones have been recognised for Best Supporting Actor.
While the Best Supporting Actress nominees are Maggie Smith, Anne Hathaway, Sally Field, Nicole Kidman and Helen Hunt.
The SAG awards recognises the Best Cast rather than Best Picture and Argo, Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Les Miserables will all go head to head.
