Sean Connery quits acting

Sir Sean Connery does not believe he will ever act again because his days in business ''are over''.

Sir Sean Connery has retired.

The Scottish actor - who turns 80 today (25.08.10) - admits he thinks his acting days "are over" and he will not go back to Hollywood.

The former James Bond star said: "I don't think I'll ever act again. I have so many wonderful memories but these days are over."

Discussing his role as the iconic British spy, whom he played in seven film instalments from 1962 to 1982, Connery admits his favourite was his second, 'From Russia With Love'.

He said: "'From Russia With Love' was my absolute favourite.

"The story was intriguing and the locations were intriguing. It was an international movie in every sense of the word."

However, his favourite movie role was as Professor Henry Jones Senior in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'.

Talking about the film to the Daily Record newspaper, he said: "I was working with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. The teamwork was special. It was a great adventure and Harrison Ford and Denholm Elliot were wonderful actors. I had so much fun."
