Selma Blair's pain wish

Selma Blair wants to suffer "lots of pain" in 'Hellboy III'.The actress has just completed work on the second instalment of the franchise but says she is already looking ahead to a return.Speaking of her hopes for the third movie, Selma - who play's Hellboy's girlfriend Liz in the movies - said: "I'd want there to be a lot of pain, like unendurable pain, and somehow getting through it. You know, take pain to the limit."Liz made this choice in 'Hellboy II' to save her man, and she will suffer the most. The Angel of Death hints at this - that she will suffer the most. And what could possibly make someone suffer the most unendurable pain to save the one you love?" Director Guillermo del Toro confirmed a third movie will be on the way, saying: "The third movie deals with the grander choice, the grander issue in facing what you were meant to do, which is the end of days, and Hellboy has to go with that."It would deal with essentially facing your destiny, if such a thing exists, and making the ultimate decision. The saying goes, 'As you turn 40, you turn into your father.' That's not good for Hellboy."However, the cast are aware that due to the director's commitment to 'The Hobbit', the next instalment may be a long time coming.

Ron Perlman - who plays the title character - told MTV: "I'm going to let Guillermo tell me how he wants it to go. If he wants to wait until 2013 when I'm 63, there's no problem. I'll play Hellboy."

Doug Jones added: "We'll be the oldest superheroes in history. But we have to have Guillermo for 'Hellboy III,' absolutely. No question. It has to be Guillermo del Toro."

'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' is released later this year.
