Thousands of Sex and the City fans turned out for an open audition in New York.
5,000 hopeful lined the streets in hope that they would be selected to appear in the second big screen outing for the hit TV show as an extra.
And producers knew exactly what they were looking for as they kept an eye out for "models, celebrity types, upscale socialites, gays and lesbians, international types and professional soccer players."
The second Sex and the City movie comes hot off the heels of last year's box office smash which grossed in excess of $415 million, holding itself well against the big budget blockbusters.
But after being coy over whether there would be a second movie Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are all returning to the roles of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte.
However it looked like filming had hit a snag when plans to shoot part of the film in Dubai had upset the government of the strict Muslim nation.
