Sigourney Weaver has revealed that she will not be appearing in Ghostbusters 3.
The actress starred alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis in the first two movies as Peter Venkman's love interest Dana Barrett.
In an interview with TV Squad she said: "No, I don't expect to have anything to do with it, although I wish them well.
"I just did a benefit with Bill and we love working together, but I think they're trying to create something new completely with the Ghostbusters, although I know Bill is in it.
"I hope my little son Oscar [from Ghostbusters II] is a Ghostbuster!"
The new movie will see the return of Murray, Aykroyd and Ramis but will be joined by a new team of Ghostbusters.
Aykroyd has already revealed that it will be a woman that leads the new team, but would not reveal the actress in the role.
